Yeap, the belugas are normally use for freight and cargos. I think it's quite hard to see them in real life.

It was built primarily to replace the Guppies... and for ferrying their own sub-assemblies.

That's the Air France Flight 4590 and was caused by a debris damaging the tyre and a large chunk of tyres hit the fuel tank and causing the tragedy.
