kushimo @suntec
imba buffet

you should have been there 5-6 years ago, way more imba. The Great World City branch is better now imo

and yeah, it's Kuishinbo.

It has been bugging me... Can TS change the spelling error of the thread title Tongue

my bad for the typo...  Shocked

by the way, of all the massively chained Japanese restaurants (Ichiban, Sakae, etc), which do you like best?

i prefer Ichiban... Smiley the food looks fresher IMHO

x2 on Sushi Tei. It is my favourite too. I find their Japanese food have the best quality worth for that price range. And Sakae Sushi is like junk Japanese food, the ingredients are usually not so fresh.

I tried Sushi Tei at Taka once with my friend. I kind of hated it... Expensive and not very nice. Undecided

I still feel Japanese food here is lacking to those overseas, and not just in japan.

Really? You should try NZ - The selection and range is so much smaller. As for quality, it matches with those few restaurants (not chain ones) in SG. I tried in Auckland as well as Queenstown.

Well, Suki Sushi has my vote, for pioneering $0.99 per plate, with the comparable quality to Sakae. Sakae is really overpriced at $1.99 per plate, but heard that Sakae dropped their price to $0.99 as well.

Sakae's $1 offer is for limited varieties...

i've been to this restaurant at the Kallang Leisure Center, which has the $1 - $0.90 (can't remember the exact price) plates, but i ended up not eating those... ended up with the pricier ones...

usually those cheaper ones don't seem to attract me....  Grin

the 0.99 dollar one at both kallang leisurepark and the basement of the cathay has the WORST sushi ever. I won't go back there even if they paid me. I'd rather pay double at sakae.

The one at Tampines swimming complex is getting bad as well.

When it first started, it was really great. Affordable and fresh and sizable proportion. Now, it seems to be going downhill.

price and quality usually goes hand in hand... so you can only expect that much from cheap items Smiley
