I never did try with my Govibe Petite, but switching from Sanyo Eneloops to Energizer e2 in my iQube makes a big difference in clarity and dynamics.

That should be a Yes. I'm testing the different between Energizer 9Volts batteries with the other brands battery with my BlackBird. Forget the name already. But quite huge different..

nah... li-ion and li-polymer is better IMHO. they give higher burst power if i remember correctly. lithium primary are better then alkaline nimh depends. nicad isn't suitable for portable amps as it loses it's charge fast IIRC.

Can the Martini use 1.2v rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries ? Hope the highest amperage ones will improve SQ.

for in ear i think the crux is stable and sufficient voltage. rather than raw amperage output.

The Energizer e2 is essentially a non-rechargeable version of a lithium battery. Given the e2's reputation, I believe rechargeable Li-ion batteries are actually superior as compared to alkaline batteries.

rechargeable li-ion cells gives around 3.6~4.2V. while normal alkaline gives 1.5~1.7V :/ less batteries needed to get the desired voltage

I had a Xin amp that relied hughely on the type of battery used. Li-Ion batteries gave a much better sound quality then alkaline or rechargable NiCad. It's the amount of current the amp can pull that will determine a great part of SQ.

wow ! thats cool ! Energizer !!!! anymore people that can testify to that ?? Energizer 9V NiMH rechargeable battery sucks dude! it has the smallest battery life i've ever used! besides, it's expensive too comparing to the other rechargeable battery.
