Hey guys.
I switched over to the ES2 cables not long ago for my superfi. 3.
Love it, but I think the cable's breaking. Like when I move the jack around.
The sound goes all weirdy and some positions.

The cables are actually quite durable, just don't twirl them around too much or you will break the wires inside.
I think you have broken the internal wiring.

Do you sometimes have one side going out without a sound? And then having to tweak it back?

Not at all. I think your cable is internally broken to have that kind of behavior.

I'm not so sure. But I don't twirl them around.
Okay at least not at the jack which is where all the problem comes.
I usually twine them in the 8 shape and leave about 3 inches before the jack.
Yep.

If the problem is not at the jack then it sounds like you have a broken wire somewhere inside. Is your cable still under warranty?

Hey, why not? But don't take it from me. Best to ask the main man himself. Wink

The cables have a warranty. The issue might be that the ES cables were made for the ES's not a UE Super.fi product. I've had others ask about that and I usually say it's not the best idea. My guess would be that the issue is at the jack.  See if Wilson has another set of UE Super.fi's or anotherES cable you can A/B and isolate the issue.

hmm yea come to think about it. after putting in the ES cables, the UE stock cable aren't as snug.
OH NO!
okay but those cables are  compared to the ES cables so i'm quite okay with that.
i noticed that this has stopped completed after cleaning the jack on my ipod nano o.o
guess there was loads of dirt in it or something. thanks anyway.
