just wondering, because i forgot to lower my ipod volume which was maxed out as i connected it to my stereo, and plugged in my TF10s. Nearly drove me deaf
but the question is, will it damage the TF10s? just paranoid

I think short period will not...
As in very very short...
But extended period... Not sure, should be as they are sensitive devices...
My 2 cents...

Short period w loud volume ?
I think that equates to a few hours of burn-in haha.
For awhile only its fine.
Anyway, when i was careless in the past, kind off happened to me once or twice.. got a shock of my life, and i was wondering if my hearing is gone or not..

Yes they will, I had to RMA a triple.fi before because left unit drivers blow.
I was doing sound monitoring and some one was playing stuff really loud over the board which my TF10s plugged in. I wasn’t around so I Did not know. It did not die right away but with in a few days you could hear the sound cutting in and out.
I’ll be sure to bring my airline adapter around in future for such things.

Balanced or dynamic they are all the same. On really loud volumes, soon you'll here some little vibrations like something inside is loose..

I never knew this would happen if the volume is too loud.
