LW2 definately benefits a lot from a change of cables. I swapped for the Lune just days after I got my LW's and didn't look back from then on.

Wouldn't reco an amp for your current setup but investing in a new pair of cables seems more worthwhile for you.

can you comment on what exactly improved with the lune cables?
really inclined towards that already, just need a little more justification...
it's like trying T4 wasn't enough justification... and since now i can't really try out the lune cables, i can only rely on such reviews...
thank you!

if the lune can give you such a good amount of upgrade in sound, imagine what the crystal cables can do for you heehee

confirmed getting a lune cable, but waiting for kevin's reply.
only concern now is because my sansa fuze is enclosed in a crystal (actually just plastic) casing i bought, and big 3.5mm connectors might not fit in perfectly, as in the case of the ultimate link interconnect i tried with the ibasso T4 at stereo PS days ago.
had to remove my casing for those big 3.5mm connectors...

but somehow all the connectors i see on null audio's website is big. and the right-angled one is even bigger than the straight connectors. no choice but to remove the casing i guess...

Recently, I switched my player to 'Acoustic' with bass boost. And I don't really want to take my LiveWires off.

It turns out that there are a couple of people whom enjoy this setting as well.  Grin

On your X-Fi? I tried the EQs on my iPod, currently liking the Lounge EQ!

On my player, yes. I don't turn on X-Fi since I got a mostly lossless library. And with X-Fi on, you can't use your normal EQ. So... Yuppers  Grin

Since X-Fi is redundant to me now.. Zii is next.  Grin
...Just hope that it works well...

Nothing goes wrong until you compare.

Can't be bothered since July 09.

just when i decided to buy the lune cable, which kevin have not replied to confirm my order, my stock cables are having problems...
the right side have to adjust here and there to get both channels, and a slight movement or tuck will cause the right side to be silent...

will it be faster if you use his online shop to purchase the wires? because this way, he'll be able to see that he has received the payment so he's more inclined to send you the product.

the online shop is in USD and uses paypal, but the prices he quoted me via email was in SGD, and he replied me his POSB account no. which i have already transferred the fund 3 days ago, so I can only hope that he reads his mail soon...
On the contrary, uncle wilson was very responsive and had already told me to bring my stock cables back (thank you uncle wilson!). But this week's a busy week, everyday ot (without OT pay or time-off) till 10:30pm, reach home already 11:30 ... probably next week i'll bring it down.

Thanks for all your feedbacks.

it's here!
physical comparisons: not audio, still no time to sit down and change here and there...

the lune was a lot thinner at after the split, but thicker before the split because of the nylon sleeving.
the nylon sleeving had a nice texture and felt durable, and was very microphonic-proof.
BUT the thin cables after the split was a different story.
For the first time with my livewires, i feel that the microphonics was overwhelming.

Probably also because of the lack of the memory wire and a very slippery "tube" to close up the split if you all get my meaning.
i can't seem to keep the cables over my ears behind my head.
Now i'm starting to appreciate the memory wires on my stock cables.
at least if there wasn't memory wires, the "tube" to close of the split should have a tad more friction.

then the connectors to the livewires, it is not GOLD!
somehow GOLD is the trademark but the silvery look with my black faceplates looks classier.
whichever colour, i'm fine with it.

The paillic 3.5mm jack is sturdy!
i've always worried about snapping the 135degree stock connectors, or whether they'll be subjected to more stress, wear and tear.
the jack was a little to big for my sansa fuze crystal case's opening, but i'd gladly file the crystal casing opening down for the paillic jack to fit.
btw i got a straight jack.

Mostly what i've pointed out are prolly the physical flaws, but the strength i believe, will be from the SQ.
til i really find the differences in SQ, this will do for now!

(and just after my lune arrived, i'm so enticed by gabriel's JH13pro bundle at $xxx...)
