No crosstalk between channels, no common ground, more power and double the voltage slew rate so the amp has much more control over the headphone/earphone drivers.

thanks for the info. but it seems to me that is it more feasible on a desktop rig than a portable solution. but well, we will see when protector comes out.  Smiley

Tongue wonder who will take the plunge just to "Argh ! It sounds so tiny and weak !"
But yeah, many also said that the predator can drive the akg k70x in high gain nice and well, but when I use that combo, *ahem*.
So yeah, desktop hp should just pair with a desktop amp, nuff said Cheesy

On contrary..

Ray's Reply:
"That is no longer true my friend. A lot has changed since the first prototype picture was posted on the first page.

The chips in the Protector have been replaced with much higher quality & much lower input noise, these chips can handle higher voltage swing than 5 volts chips in the first prototype.

The single battery has been replaced with TWO Lithium Ion battery pack, this insures higher voltage needed to drive the HD600 with ease.

The Protector, in balanced config. is a perfect match for any headphones. from IEMs to HD600."

@fengtard
Haha, nice, thanks for info.

Well, only our ears can have the final say then Smiley

One point to note about the akg k70x.
both stock are single end, which means that they are relatively harder to drive even though their specifications seems the same as dual end hp out there.
So, when it is going balance, having dual ends, it might turn out possible after all Cheesy

most likely getting it. just like the mustang and the BB, i can always sell it in singapore and make little to no loss as i pay way less in shipping. only problem is where am i going to get the funds from.....

size is roughly that of the predator which i must say, is very small. i was expecting BB size, so this is a nice surprise. definitely portable enough for me.

yea i totally agree, especially with the LW3 which is super efficient.

i'm probably only going to use iems with it for now, the LW3 and maybe the Quad-fi tf10.

not really recommended as you don't save much in term of shipping.
