Hey guys. Just want to have your thoughts on the difference between the HD650 and the HD600. Is there much of a difference? Asking this because this is gonna be my next purchase haha. Just listened to a pair of HD600s and it has been a long time since i listened to the HD650s. The bass on the HD600s are a bit...bloated? I'm not sure how to describe XD.

in my opinion, on the contrary, the hd600 leans more towards a neutral sound with a slight amphasis on bass while the hd650 is more coloured.

trust your own ears. You can easily go down to jaben or stereo where they will have both sets for you to audition before you decide which is better for you. After all, in the audio world, its all about matching - whatever your ears are more inclined to listen is the better headphone for you, regardless of price or brand.

it depends what kind of the music that you listen. If you like classic or symphony, 600 is better. I don't think 650 is dirty, it depends to your system. I like 650 much better than 600

I think it depends.. hd650 are open cans so their sound signature is different from the hd600.. I liked the hd650 better and then soon moved to hd800..

I got my HD650 a while back, yeah its colored , But it feels very natural. i mean like being there. imaging is superb.
l was initially disappointed with the laid back treble , but found it to be part of the charm that the HD650 has. listening to jazz , classical and Live recordings is a treat on HD650.
i will say, listen to them both, and listen them long, with out taking in account the colorization, if its neutral what you are looking for , HD650 is not that. but these are natural, sound real (not to the extent of Miracle and LCD2 but yeah , these do sound like being there).
Listen to music , not treble , not mids, not bass, but music as a whole. HD650 shines there.

i would take out the inner foam that covers the drivers,
just remove the earpads and the thin foam would pop out.

BTW where can i order the earpads for HD600/650 ( taking they are the same). mine is good , but i feel safer keeping backup pair.
