Yeap, I agree.. The Fidelio L1 and M1 looks deliciously good.
Wonder how the duo would sound though.

ok I've got my LCD 3 now and I return my LCD 2 to jaben, if I compare it with the LCD 2, the LCD has a wider soundstage but has less trebles. More neutral sounding than LCD 2.

If you guys have any more questions let me know.
I'm using Schiit Lyr for my LCD 3

For price performance thing is quit subjective, because if you look in terms of how much improvement vs the LCD 2 in terms of performance I won't say it's good because although it win in soundstage it lose in trebles, so if you like violin music and u like the violins more forward then LCD 3 is not good at all for that. If that's the case not worth the money

If you like bigger soundstage irreguardless of what, yes then LCD 3 is worth the money. Because if you don't pay that amount u won't get that sound.

For me I use it for mixing, and compared to the LCD 2 , LCD3 is much more neutral so yes I would say to me is worth the money. I pay for something that is really useful to me.
Some people may argue that LCD 3 sucks for mixing, because there are cheaper alternatives that quite a lot of people use like Sennheiser HD 600, 650, Audio technica M50, etc, those people will say LCD3 for mixing is just nonsense. However I do not feel comfortable mixing on those platform compared to the LCD3, therefore I would say yes it good for price and performance. Another headphone I feel it's good for mixing to me is Stax 009, however I did not hear the LCD 3 and stax side by side so I can't give very detailed comparision. But if I remember correctly stax 009 is brighter, also pretty neutral.

The LCD2 I'm refering to is the LCD 2 rev 2. For LCD 2 rev 1 , the LCD 3 owns it completely, it's like an upgraded LCD 2 rev 1 actually in my opinion.

I mix mostly rock, metal and dance kind of music.
D7000 is so far my fav close can headphone, actually I almost got that one for mixing but I find audeze more suitable.
For me I prefer IEMS for listening for pleasure, I don't feel comfortable with headphones.
Can check out my home studio link, can like it if you want haha. There's a FB page link on this page

Well I don't think you would move into those , unless you want to do audio engineering.
On why I use books that's the cheapest thing to raise up the speakers to my ear level. On why I didn't get those proper stuff to reduce vibrations. There is a far bigger problem with my set up and those stuff wouldn't do justice to it. It's like getting a $10 HMV earphone and you use that earphone reshell it and use crytal piccolino cables for it. It just doesn't make sense lol.
What problem I have is room acoustice, I did not treat my room and room treatment is far more important for getting good sound then puting speakers on books.
Anyway I'll be going USA next year so I'm going to sell all my speakers before I go there, right now I'm just using it to produce my album and for people to use my studio to record.
What I'll be bringing to USA is my Audeze LCD 3 and JH11 for mixing.
