The cosumer's ignorance is their bliss.

Consumers are not at fault. It's more of how the society works. You have, i also want. This sort of mentality drives the demand for electronics. Then greedy people will then exploit the childrens, just to meet the demand. These people are sick. They only see profits and nothing else.

So, now that you know about the source of your products, it is no longer ignorance. What then?

We're but a minority in the pool of consumer. Even if we decide to stop buying electronics equipment, people will still send those kids to die.  It's more of a lesson learnt about your the value of the electronic product on your hands instead of "just another gadget".

Its not just consoles, even cellphones and computers use these metals.
Andy McNab's Recoil is a very good thriller detailing the plight of the Africans forced to mine for these metals.
