hmmm... somehow, i think olives do not seal or isolate as well as complys. complys are longer and hence, can isolate more as it takes up more space in the ear canal. however, the shelf life is really short. well, YMMV.

it goes both ways. olives are thicker(3 sizes) and block up the ear canals better if you have super big ear canals....

hmmmm... that's if you're using the large ones then. the large ones are for really huge canals, but mostly, i think complys do the trick for me. YMMV. still thinking of trying the soft flex as it's said to be pretty good. can also mod a pair of complys/olives on the soft flex like a heady mod too.

To me, it enclosed better.. the stock comply sounds very hollow to me.. very airy.. sounds flying all round.. what so good about IEM is that they trap the sound and put it directly.. and thus with the hollow kind of feel, it really defeat the purpose..

Just my 2 cents

Different people's ears react differently to the same tips. You'll hear a lot of people saying the olives bring out the bass of the UM1s, but I feel the complys are better at bass. Your best bet is to try them all and not rely on reviews.
