a7x isn't exactly a "start" for metal.. it's just a different genre on the whole. i like their tone, their melodic stuff, the harmony guitars. but oh well..

on topic, i'm currently cracking my head off at beast and the harlot's solo..
and a little bit of trivium..

some a7x solos, awesome awesome solos i would say, metal songs have awesome riffs and solosssssssssssssssss!
well, since a7x has two guitarist, the harmonies would only sound good with two guitarist playing the parts! ( one plays a key higher, together, sounds superb!)
feng and i have been  trying it out(jamming), muhahahaha,
when you play alone, its so dry, Sad

great you like metal! a7x is a good start. especially their older stuff, their new album is very mainstream-oriented. they were one of the bands that got me into heavier things.
what you mean by good start? its not like i like metal or want to like metal,
i like a7x, doesn't mean i must "upgrade" to hardercore metal. please don't assume anything?
its only specific kinds, like a7x, bullet for my valentine, as i lay dying, alesana are more hardcore in my library.
and doesn't mean i will go to heavier stuff  or a7x 's a good start.
and i like a7x mainly because their guitar parts rock imo.

woah, relax a bit, its only my experience lol.

yes, their guitar parts do rock. catchy as well. i and my friend enjoyed jamming beast and the harlot a lot last time. some of their songs are hard imo....

Learning Exodus' Riot Act now. By ear. Tabbing it out too. Excluding the solos. I'm not that pro.
