Here's the prototype for the Pico DAC! No headamp in it, just pure DAC, powered by USB.

Finally my Pico can go! Grin

2x RCA out? That's serious stuff for a portable DAC.

I wonder if Justin will consider a full-sized desktop DAC?

correction: pico is one of the best portable dac or the best in such a small size Tongue

Maybe by the end of year? Don't take my words for it, wait till Justin himself announced it.

When he launches it, should we be prepared for a long wait like the Pico? Tongue

No.  When it's launched, it will only be when I have practically unlimited stock.  There is a wait for the Pico amp because I was 200 units behind when I started shipping.  There will also be no wait for that by the end of the year.

My first priority is to get all Pico orders shipped and no wait, but I am also working on getting the DAC ready.  It will probably be early January

I'm very interested how the final product looks like. I haven't tried the PICO DAC (w/ amp) my self but from the people praising it this would be another good option for Laptop users like myself. =)

The RCA output looks cool giving you the option to use as input to amps or active monitors. Thumbs up for Justin! =)
