Oh no...

Not more reminding that I can have markl mod! I need to listen to your woodified cups first to see whether the differences are tangible first.  Grin

Wait wait wait wait wait...

You mean the mod on the dynamat? As I already know you did the filling of the earpads. Or the Recable? What mods exactly?

Darn for piquing my curiosity!

I've placed the dynamats on the drivers and stuff the earcups only. Not done with recabling.

darn, you actually located a viable local source of those Dynamats? Do they really tighten up the bass a lot?

i used some other damping material instead of the dynamats. i suppose they are almost the same.

Tighten the bass? not a lot, but they really help in bringing out the mids and highs....

Are you able to provide details on the Dynamat alternative?

Guess I'll have to re-read Mark Lawton's mod thread again to see how to open this can of mine.

They are called pylemat.

Seems like the same function as the dynamats. damping of the car to reduce vibrations.

It comes in 2 pcs of 10" x 10"

Almost used up one. due to come mistakes...

That's one fine info! Think I go check out those car audio shops this seemly magical stuff when I'm up to it and reasonably-priced.

Hopefully other Denon-users may brave it out and diy-markl-mod it as well!

Can you do a  series kind of mod yet?

Is the "recipe" being shared to the public yet?

Denon specials (D7000) are really costly man.

Not that I'm suggesting Jaben has placed pricey tags over them. I'm pretty sure they are worth that much for now.

Just that it's unthinkable for one to pull out that much of cash to buy them, makes a big hole in the wallet if you ask me.

Sigh, I have yet to get mine. Still wondering if I should be contented with D2000 or not. D5000 and D7000 are so much more expensive.

Regards.
