about 2 months ago my sister sat on my super fi. 5 pro and broke the right side connector. ever since, i've been stealing pockets of times during the weekends to try and fix them but always seemed to be to no avail. in the previous week, because of school hols i've been able to devote a lot of time (after homework of course) to fixing these beauties. i'm happy to report that after getting 9 cuts, 3 blisters, using 2 tubes of epoxy 3 blades that went blunt soldier iron solder and super glue, i've fixed it.

it cracked into 4 pieces along the cable join and it took quite A bit of glueing and recutting to get it back together. the bass response on the right seems A bit(a really tiny bit compared to previous repairs) weaker than that of the left. it might be due to a hairline crack somewhere or something leading to air loss. but yeah i'm pretty alright with it

so here's why i'm posting, anyone of you repaired your IEM's before? what happened what did you do how is it now why would you repair and not send in. my reason was because they're 3 years old btw.

so let me hear from yal Cheesy

yeah i think what you did was awesome... my fren knocked the sf5p against a chair lightly and the calbe connector housing just broke for mine too!!

sent it back for RMA took me like... 6 mths to get one back...

the epoxy on it looks... like something is growing on your SF5pro though, way too much earwax? lol
