Hi Guys and Girls,

When I was a very young kid, one of the first introductions I had to things Japanese was a television series; Shintaro.
 
I thought to myself and said, “Nah… Wiki would not have it”, surprise, surprise… it does. Read more about my favorite Japanese TV series when I was young. 
 
Of course, there were a couple of other popular series such as Ultraman, but that never cottoned to me. Still the seeds were sown. My Dad was in the motorcycle trade in his youth and he would tell me all about British bikes. He took me to a Singapore Grand Prix once and it was the Thomson road circuit. I remember a Brit, named Chris Korn riding a - I think - a Norton. There was also a slew of Japanese daredevil riders with exciting names like Motohashi, Takahashi and the likes of ninjas.
 
The years went by, and many things from Japan crept into my life. Japanese photographic equipment came along and was a very important part of our family. It was something else though that did me in. Dad gave me a nice watch and it was a Seiko. It had day and date, sweep hand and it was so easy to change the date or the day. The face was a very unusual white which I have never seen since. The sad part was, the watch was stolen in about a week. Until today, my watches are only Seiko.
 
Bit by bit, Japan and anything Japanese became something I admired. I remember the Honda S600 and then the S800 and the Datsun 240z. Yes, the Z together with the “SSS” were the Japanese cars that that rocked.
 
It’s obvious now that in time, Japanese earphones and headphones have become a part of our lives. Over the years, I have made many Japanese friends and my trips to Japan have always been something to remember. In one of my recent trips, I carelessly left all my phones in the cab… can you imagine, the cab driver personally came and returned it to me!
